Founder of Sure Thing, a New York-based label and mix series operating at the boundaries of rhythmic, experimental dance music. As a performer, Aaron is inspired by the complex dialogues that arise between sound and emotion on the dance floor, with highlight appearances including Sustain Release, Monument Festival, and Nowadays, mixes for Truants, Patterns of Perception, and Animalia, and a nod from Resident Advisor as one of techno's "best-kept-secret" DJs. Aaron's sets reflect his thoughtful and metoculous approach to curation, honed over the past decade and transcending genre to leap between moments of delicate bliss and expansile, propulsive energy.
The cohesive array of depth charged devices that Anthony Linell has produced is formidable.
From his opening statements as Abdulla Rashim on his early label of the same name, right through to his recent work that puts his aliases aside, there is a robust and rigorous intent
that compounds the elemental strategies of techno's models to apprehend his singular vision.
Presiding over Stockholm's Northern Electronics label with Varg (Jonas Rönnberg), Linell
dispenses with mechanisms of attention on all fronts. Marked by an indefatigable self-reliance, the label presents exactly what it means to display, and no more. Carving an idiosyncratic platform for his music is as great of a warning as there could be that Linell's leveraging little toward the benefit of the audience. By his measure, the familiarity and comfort of contemporary techno is stripped back to its rushing heart, the senses left tailgating the strobe in a fit of intuition over decision. The greater this is exposed the colder it gets, and its in these extremes that Linell's caustic rhythmic precision hits. Live, it comes off as a galvanizing strike from the outside; analysing the room as a DJ, it's a case of being pursued through the dark.
Just as the brevity of Linell's output in the eyes of techno is exalted as it is brought into focus, the background to this blurs as you start to decipher his other projects. Lundin Oil skirts the fringes of noise and experimental music, and in collaboration with Varg as Ulwhedar, this is perhaps even more pronounced.
Purposively ricocheting between the techno world and experimental electronic music, Linell
forges a distinct passage that gathers the aesthetically uncompromising motifs and missions
from across this spectrum. It's this combination and resolve that's brought Linell to the world's attention, however little that attention has been solicited.

There's a patient consistency at the heart of Alexander Berg's work as Dorisburg. The Swedish producers catalog encompasses both dreamy, melancholic melody and hypnotic drum tracks and maintains a quality and singularity of personality both on record and in the live setting, performance being a deep focus for Berg with his solo project. His debut album, Irrbloss, and EPs for Aniara Recordings, Bossmusik or Northern Electronics, display dizzying sonic range. While he shifts through stylistic lanes with ease, all of his tracks are anchored by a lush atmosphere that adds an otherworldly magic to even his toughest beats. Berg creates this same enveloping feel in his masterful live shows. This is where the countless hours in the studio, the trove of tracks that have not yet or simply won't be released, serve a transportative purpose. Along with a trove of unheard material, Berg delivers faithful versions of back catalog classics, but leaves room for improvisation, often crafting remixed versions and sampling himself on-the-fly. Just as Irrbloss summarized Berg's interests to date, each night with his live show, he shows what he's learned on his journey, in adroit command of his hardware rig.
Whether Shoal plays with records or performs live, he continuously challenges himself on a creative level. Never repeating itself, each set is a winding river of emotions transcribed into music, a guided journey of Shoal’s experiences and sonic landscapes.
His first solo live set was at ISOTOOP’s Sunday Ambient sessions curated by Van Anh. Shortly after that, the friendship grew quickly and he joined the collective. As a collective, they have been on numerous journeys. From raving nights to all-night ambient sessions, to a one-off utopian festival in the Moroccan desert in collaboration with local label Tikita.
As part of the ISOTOOP collective, the Utrecht-based producer aims for the body and mind: Enriched with hypnotic rhythm patterns, field recordings, drones, and textures, his distinctive take on sound design is on display across a variety of labels such as Harmony Recordings, Konstrukt, LET Recordings, and Oblique Music.

Kia’s speedy rise to notoriety is no surprise. Although young, Kia plays with the confidence and experience expected of a DJ with many more years under their belt. With a keen ear for bass-heavy rhythms, IDM, and the deeper shades of techno and trance, Kia glides through genres and emotions in exciting and often unexpected ways. Her talent for weaving musical narratives has been recognized by local and international labels, having already constructed revered mixes for Nous’klaer, Truants, c- and Patterns of Perception. Whilst the popularity of these mixes clearly proves her ear for telling stories with music, it’s her bubbly presence behind the booth that really makes her stand out. Kia is an open-eared music digger, searching tirelessly for lost obscurities to pair alongside modern finds and hidden gems by local artists. She wields together her intimate knowledge of local music and attuned ear, bringing it all to masterful fruition in her record label, ‘Animalia’, with an ambient sub-label ‘Cirrus’ on the way. Beginning in 2019, Animalia is now home to a highly reputable powerhouse of releases, mixes, and events That pave the way forward for the future of electronic dance music in Australia. Bringing underground and DIY sounds to the forefront, Kia encourages experimentation and nuance in every release. Bookings at Amsterdam Dance Event, De School, Sustain Release, and Monument festival are a part of a growing list of impressive gigs Kia is being booked for. As she relocates to Europe in the early new year, with a number of exciting shows on the horizon and solo productions in the works, Kia is without a doubt one to keep tabs on.
Berlin-based but born in Treviso, near Venice (Italy), Marco Shuttle has been involved in the local underground club
scene since he was 15, as a promoter and then as a DJ.
After traveling to London to gain his MA in Fashion design at St Martin’s, he became involved in London’s clubbing
scene as a DJ. juggling between his designer career and his music.
Owing to his more visual background, he considers his musical style to be constructed with an aesthetic approach.
He has been deeply inspired, besides the classic influences like Detroit Techno and electro, acid house, and electro
by more abstract sounds, ranging from Spiritual jazz, noise, industrial, musique concrete, american minimalism,
contemporary classic, and more.
His productions are usually very deep, abstract, atmospheric and often His cinematic techno sounds are unusually
organic: they build pressure in subtle ways and his meticulous grooves never fail to take listeners on a trip to
somewhere new and exciting. After a couple of EPs that gained him some recognition he released in January 2011,
his true first breakthrough EP, ‘The Vox Attitude’ released on the Swedish label Vidd, and received enthusiastic
reactions and widespread chart positions becoming an evergreen classic still being played extensively these days.
2012 saw the launch of his own label EERIE records on which after a few ep’s by himself and other artists he
released at the end of 2014 his first LP Visione, which was very well received and prominently showed his more
experimental side gaining him recognition also outside the techno circuit.
The album was followed by very productive series of successful singles (some of which like “Singing like bird”
became timeless classics) on labels like Clone, The Bunker NY, Time to Express and Semantica
His second LP, Systhema, which gained him further recognition and set another landmark in his career, was instead
released in 2017 on Donato Dozzy’s and Neel’s label Spazio Disponibile where he also released 3 eps.
His latest endeavours resulted in his 3rd full length LP “Cobalt Desert Oasis” which came out in 2021 on the NY label
Incienso run by Anthony Naples and Jenny Slattery. The album, which was broadly and very positively received “sets
him farther from the ‘floor than ever, operating in a liminal shadow world of hazed hues threaded with steady but
nervy lines of percussion that ground his signature cosmic vision” (Boomkat).
Marco Shuttle also built an as strong reputation as a dj during the years. Known for his very eclectic and experimental
approach and his mesmerizing and narrative flow, he established himself as a very fine and respected (mostly vinyl)
selector and making regular appearances for years in the most important underground clubs worldwide like Berghain,
Fabric, Concrete, De School, Bassiani and in festivals like Labyrinth in Japan, Terraforma, Atonal and Movement in
Detroit just to name a few.
His cinematic and atmospheric style also got him noticed outside of the electronic/techno circuit and in 2018 one of
his tracks got picked as original score for the short movie “Bautismo” by Mauro Vecchi and was awarded as “Best
Original Score” at “Roma Creative Contest”.

Naturally active person, in 2014, Nathalia founded Experiment Intrinsic – a hidden art dimension organically blended with the visual and musical imagination.
A pivotal change, in which she pursued a path of deeper self inquiry and progression of sound, shifted her from the dance-floor oriented music and into ambient soundscapes.
Her influences drew increasingly from experimental electronic, as well as traditional and spiritual genres.
The following years were dedicated as developing the project into a dynamic and constantly evolving audio-visual platform.

Refracted’s music feels as fundamentally human as it sounds otherworldly. It is techno more as an idea and conduit, than as an easily- labeled sound. It is dance music where layered rhythms act almost on a neural, sub epidermal level, while moving and evolving soundscapes acquire a tactile, understated physicality. Paramount examples of this can be found on releases on Refracted’s own Mind Express label, and on celebrated labels like Bitta, PoleGroup, Semantica, Sublunar and Canadian ambient/deep-techno imprint Silent Season.
With his path unraveling further, his sound has evolved beyond just techno, becoming a conduit for exploring the boundaries of experimental and drone music. Spiritual, almost meditative, his sets also possess a strong kinetic energy when needed, which is a clear indication of a DJ who knows the fundamental role of dancing as part of the ritual. He wants to take us somewhere, the “where” being of our own choosing, the trail never being the most travelled.

Among the serene Japanese mountainscape during the 2011 incarnation of Labyrinth festival, a project now known as Voices from the Lake was born: the predestined collaboration of Donato Dozzy and Neel. The Italian DJs, producers and long-time friends are nonconformists of ambient & leftfield techno, both masters of their craft before joining forces. Painting vivid, multi-layered soundscapes with slowly unfolding rhythm and texture is the duo's MO, a by-product of which, is producing some of the most inventively entrancing ambient techno in the scene.
Their self-titled debut full length album was a prime example of the pair's incredible ear for sound design. A collection of spiritually charged techno, with a subtle pulse of synchronous elliptical patterns rather than the rigid time signatures of techno. Widely acclaimed as album of the year, the release elevated them to the peak of experimental techno music. Their second album was decidedly more leftfield, even more so irreverent of techno tropes. Live at MAXXI is a recording of a live performance from the Museum of Modern Contemporary Art in Rome, retaining the hypnotic ambience of the previous releases, this time withdrawing from an emphasis on beats.
In both live and recorded settings, the pair explore experimental underwater sounds influenced by nature, drums, and minimalism. 2022 will see their first album reissued on their own label, Spazio Disponibile. Following that, they will embark on a select number of shows, where the album will be performed in full. All the while, the pair will be back in the studio producing new music for the future, reasserting their position as one of the scene's most refined ambient techno projects.

Vision, subversion, history and bliss each flow like life blood in the work of Woody92.
A DJ, aesthete, label-owner and experimentalist operating within the consistently fascinating outer-reaches of the Dutch electronic music scene, Woody92 is a multi-faceted artist whose distinct perspective manifests itself across alternate yet intertwined sensory plains.
As a DJ, his expertly curated and characteristic sets deviate from the norm, exploring psychoactive strains of leftfield electronics, hypnotic techno and radiant minimalism. Woody92 previously cemented his singular and sophisticated DJ style at a number of clubs and institutions, but is equally respected for capturing the energy and curiosity of audiences in outsider spaces across his native Netherlands, as well as far beyond. His pristine yet unpredictable mixes have already left a unique musical footprint, establishing a quietly defiant reputation as a musical curator with increasingly rare depth and focus.
Born in the unassuming town of Delft on the West Coast of Holland, the more radical reverberations from neighbouring city The Hague had a subconscious and eventually more explicit effect on his youthful curiosity and creativity. Woody’s dedication to collecting and reinterpreting electronic music is both parallel and complimentary to his education in art, with a particular interest in graphic design, inspired by aesthetics throughout history and culture. The sum total of these passions manifests in Omen Wapta, a new record label and multidisciplinary platform launched by Woody92 in 2021.
Highlighting music and creative projects from an international but close-knit circle of friends and collaborators, Omen Wapta is inspired by communal histories in order to imagine a collaborative future, a 'transitory playground for the imagination' consisting of a broad spectrum of styles, encompassing fashion lines and design as well as sonic artefacts.
With the alchemy of Omen Wapta as the beating heart of his overall vision, Woody92 continues to challenge himself and others, fluidly curating a path to creative enlightenment and a patiently earned catharsis, both in the club and inspired by it.
